Tiglin Day Service provides a much-needed community service in Arklow Town but is not restricted by area.

Tiglin Day Service is a related drug service in a community setting. It is run under the guidelines of the Dept. of Social protection CE scheme and managed by Tiglin Challenge.

We provide a community Alcohol/Drug rehab service for 21 participants that are Drug-free or stable on Methadone. There are three full-time staff and three part-time CE positions. The programme runs from 10 am -2 pm Monday to Friday. We also work in partnership with Wicklow County Council providing a four-bed re-integration house.

Through education, training and treatment with a person-centred approach, we aim to provide a programme that meets the needs of the individual while working within the ‘Framework for CE Drug Rehabilitation Schemes’.

The DSP fund three staff and some of the training and education programmes. The rest of the funds are raised through Wicklow County Council local funding initiatives and fund-raising events.
