What is Tiglin?

Tiglin is a registered charity in Ireland dedicated to restoring lives affected by homelessness, addiction, and social exclusion. Believing in each person’s potential, Tiglin provides both immediate support and long-term solutions.

Services include homeless outreach, supported housing, rehabilitation, education and employment support, youth services, and family assistance. Through holistic care and sustainable change, Tiglin helps people move from surviving to thriving—restoring dignity, purpose, and hope.

Our Mission

Tiglin’s mission is to provide individuals with effective and comprehensive solutions to life-controlling problems such as addiction, homelessness, and social exclusion. Rooted in a Christian ethos, Tiglin approaches each person with compassion, dignity, and a belief in their potential to change. The organisation endeavours to help people become psychologically well, socially adjusted, physically healthy, and spiritually alive—empowering them to rebuild their lives.

Tiglin’s Rehabilitation Programme

Tiglin’s rehabilitation programme offers a structured, supportive environment for individuals seeking recovery from addiction and related life-controlling issues. Based in a residential setting, the programme focuses on holistic transformation—addressing not only the physical aspects of addiction but also the emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of each person.

With a strong emphasis on personal development, life skills, and community living, participants are encouraged to build resilience, restore relationships, and gain the tools needed for long-term recovery. The programme also includes access to education, work experience, and aftercare support, helping individuals reintegrate into society with confidence and purpose.

Educational Opportunities with SETU

Tiglin is proud to partner with South East Technological University (SETU) to provide meaningful educational opportunities for those in our care. Through this collaboration, individuals engaged in Tiglin’s programmes can access accredited courses that support personal growth, skill development, and long-term employability.

Whether returning to education for the first time or building on previous learning, participants are supported in a nurturing environment that encourages confidence, independence, and ambition. This partnership reflects Tiglin’s commitment to holistic rehabilitation—empowering individuals not only to recover but to thrive through education and lifelong learning.
